Details: the NID institution
National Longevity Institute
Architect of the health of the future
For such a deep reform to be possible, we need a new kind of institution – not only a regulator, but an active architect of public health. The National Longevity Institute (NID) is a proposed strategic agency that will be the guardian of values and the engine of transformation.
Mission: more than oversight
The NID is a center of competence whose tasks go far beyond traditional licensing. Its mission is the proactive management of the health of the entire population.
Key areas of NID activity
1. Data & Analytics Center
Integrates data from NFZ, ZUS, GUS and CEZ, creating Poland's most powerful public-health knowledge base for precise planning.
2. Prevention & gamification
Organizes national screening programs and runs the nationwide motivational program #ZdrowiejMY, rewarding healthy choices.
3. BioMedTech Innovation Hub
Supports Polish medical start-ups – from idea, through certification (MDR), to deployment in the system.
4. Ethics guardian in the digital era
Through the Council of Value Guardians and the AI Ethics Charter it ensures that artificial intelligence and new technologies serve only the patient's good.
Structure: think nationally, act locally

Regional Medical Agencies (WAM)
The NID will operate through WAMs, which will flexibly adapt the strategy to local needs and provide direct support for ZOZ clusters and hospitals in the field.
